Claire Cuny

Advanced Ballet & Pointe

Claire Cuny began her classical Vaganova training under Alexander Vetrov, former principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet. She studied the Balanchine technique under Paul Mejia, former dancer and choreographer of the New York City Ballet. She performed classical works with Metropolitan Classical Ballet under the two artistic directors, Vetrov and Mejia, at the Bass Performance Hall and Texas Hall. She trained at The Kirov Academy in Washington D.C for the summer program and was invited to attend year round but declined in order to go to college. She continued her studies at Southern Methodist University on scholarship acquiring a BFA in dance performance. She currently teaches classical ballet and modern dance at various studios, choreographs for schools and companies and regularly performs with NYC based site specific and immersive dance company Linked Dance Theatre, a multimedia performance group called Reliant Tom, and her dance and technology company, Obelus Movement. She Is excited to teach at Ms. Doreen’s Fabulous Feet.

Gabriella Sibeko

Advanced Contemporary & Modern

Gabriella Sibeko is a freelance dance artist originally from Ontatio, Canada and raised in Montreal, Durban and Cape Town, South Africa. She is now based in New York City.

 

During her formative years of training, she studied heavily in classical ballet under the direction of Paula Urrutia. She performed principal roles in works such as, La Bayadere, Paquita and Don Quixote. In 2013 she was granted a Scholarship to The Ailey School, where she trained for the next 3 years, graduating from the Certificate Program in 2016. While there, she was casted to perform in some of Alvin Ailey’s most acclaimed works such as, Revelations, House of the Rising Sun, Escapades and The Lark Ascending. Throughout her schooling, she had the fortune of being directed and mentored by Frederick Moore, Sylvia Waters and Mathew Rushing.

 

She received additional training at Complexions Contemporary Ballet, performing works by Dwight Rhoden, as well as at Dance Theater of Harlem. Her artistry has been shaped profoundly by the choreographers she has worked with including, Mike Esperanza, Mary Grace

McNally, Jon Rua, Katherine Maxwell, Ellenore Scott, Lauren Cox, Teddy Tedholm, Emily Greenwell, Matilda Sakamoto, Andrea Ward, Yoshito Sakatuba and Ellen Sickenberger to name a few.

 

Gabriella co-choreographed the international video campaign entitled ‘Freedom: International Day of the Girl’ produced by The Global Goals Campaign, in affiliation with Beyoncé Knowles, receiving wide international recognition. She can be credited in music videos, Serenading in the Trenches by Sondre Lerche, choreographed by Ellenore Scott, The Runner by Alison Sudol, choreographed by Kristin Sudeikis, Mish Mish by Noah Souder-Russo, choreographed by Lirr Katz and Show-Off by Ana Kay, choreographed by Teonna Wesley. She has also performed in multiple NYC venues as a back-up dancer for singer/songwriter, ELENI.

 

Gabriella has danced for NYC-based companies, Abarukas, Bare Dance, Nathan Trice Rituals, i Kada Contemporary Dance and Cullen&Them and has worked and traveled as an assistant for Nathan Trice, Emily Greenwell and Erica Sobol. Gabriella was one of the lead dancers in the 2018 Capezio A.C.E. Award’s winning piece entitled, Not For Picking. Recently,

she performed as a featured dancer for the 2020 PHISH concert held at Madison Square Garden, choreographed by Jon Rua. She is currently a member of Hivewild, MG + Artists, Jon Rua’s TheGrit, Channel:Dig, ELSCO Dance, Cloude.NYC and DEPTH Dance. She is also the co-host and co-founder of danceCONNECT: a series of stages and stories, which is an interview-style podcast that centers around conversing with a variety of dance artists.Gabriella is the featured dancer in an upcoming Netflix documentary, entitled Malinche, set in Ibiza, Spain.

Lauren Belasco

Advanced Tap 

Competition Team Assistant Directior

Lauren Belasco is an alumni of MDFF where she grew up studying ballet, pointe, tap, lyrical, jazz and gymnastics, as well as competing. She is a graduate of Rowan University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Elementary Education, and a dance minor. While in college Lauren was the president and member of Dance Extensions, a modern dance company. Lauren received the Bryna G. Goldhaft Dance Award, which recognizes artistic excellence and contributions to the dance program. Lauren was an advanced company member of Uniting Colleges Through Tap for 4 years and a member of "Take It Away Dance '' a Philadelphia based tap company. Lauren is the assistant director of the competition team af MDFF.

Bekah Howard

Advanced Contemporary & Lyrical

Bekah Howard is a NYC based dancer, choreographer, and instructor originally from central Florida. Bekah attended New York University and is an alumni of Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester. A member of the Derek Mitchell Dance Company, BEings and Koin and Co Dancers, she has performed in several contemporary dance festivals around the city including Pushing Progress, The Giving Tree, and Brooklyn Dance Festival. Bekah has experience performing for the camera and has been seen dancing on the Today Show and in commercials for K Factor Resistance.

 

Bekah has spent much time training under and working as an assistant to Derek Mitchell, Lane Napper, Emily Bufferd, and Emily Greenwell on an array of projects. With this knowledge, she has begun a choreographic journey of her own, presenting work at “Run the Night,” Peridance’s APEX Showcase, the 2016 Young Choreographer's Festival, and several other shows and workshops. 

 

Through performance and choreography, Bekah has developed a passion for teaching and sharing, and hopes to spread creativity and light to all that she comes in contact with.

Kristin Potocki

Advanced Tap

Kristin Potocki is an alumni of All for Dance in Robbinsville, NJ where she trained in ballet, tap, lyrical, jazz, modern, and pointe. She was also a part of the AFD competitive dance team. Kristin recently graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in dance. She attended the Rockette Summer Intensive for 4 summers where she learned jazz and tap choreography from the Radio City Rockettes. Kristin was also a member of “Take It Away Dance,” a Philadelphia based tap company for 2 years. She has attended many tap workshops and master classes with professional choreographers where she developed her knowledge and passion for tap dance. Kristin is currently working as an Engineer while studying an MBA at Rutgers University.

Morgan O'Shea

Lyrical & Jazz

Morgan O’Shea was a student at Ms. Doreen’s Fabulous Feet starting at the age of 3. Throughout her time there, she performed in numerous Nutcracker Suites. She was on the competition team from age four on, where she won numerous competition titles. Morgan attended the Rockette Summer Intensive twiced and was a model for a dancewear costume catalog. Morgan attended Stockton University where she graduated with a degree in Health Sciences and a minor in dance. She was the captain of Stockton’s Dance Team where they competed at regional competitions and at the National UDA competition in Disney World, Florida. At Stockton, she had the chance to work with professional choreographers and companies allowing her to expand her knowledge and grow as a dancer. Morgan is currently a Graduate Student at NYU for Occupational Therapy.

Jaqui Angulo

Hip Hop

A Southern California native, Jaqui started dancing in high school and trained in the competitive dance community under the Kaba Modern family. She performed with Kaba Kids and choreographed for competitions such as Hip Hop International. In 2015, she moved to New York for college and found a home away from home in the East Coast dance community, specifically with the Neighbors dance team. She served as the Artistic Director and choreographed award-winning routines, including first place at World of Dance. Still based in NYC, she continues to dance as she pursues her M.S. in Occupational Therapy. Jaqui is a member of the Youran Lee Dance Company and she teaches hip hop and freestyle based classes in the NY/NJ area. As much as she loves to share choreography, her passion for dance is also rooted in freestyle. She has entered open styles battles in the US as well as internationally and she hopes to help build love and comfort around freestyle. She has trained in hip-hop, house, waacking, breaking, and other Afro-diasporic styles. Currently, she is focusing her training in popping under PopNTod, Sun Kim, and Mikey Esteban. Jaqui’s credits include La Liga, GMA Pinoy TV, and RAW Artists Brooklyn.
